White Tailed Sea Eagles
A guest at Back Brae Lodge in 2011, Mr C Merrifield, took some stunning photographs of these re-introduced eagles which breed on Mull. Click on each photo for a larger version.
Tobermory's most unusual resident in 2009 was a wild but bold otter, nicknamed Elvis - like his namesake, sadly no longer with us. Hundreds of visitors were charmed by his appearance around the bay.
If you see an otter here or anywhere else in Mull, please remember that they are a European Protected Species and it is an offence to disturb them, their breeding site or resting place. This also applies to dolphins, porpoises and whales often seen around Mull.
"With his slicked-back hair and love of performing for crowds, the otter delights tourists and local fisherman on the Inner Hebrides island..." Daily Telegraph
"Memorial plan for Elvis the otter..." BBC News
